Now enrolling for our nature-based summer camp!

We are now enrolling for Little Birch’s Nature-Based Summer Camp in Johnson, VT! Tell your friends and help spread the word! 

A magical summer awaits at Little Birch! Each day at camp we will explore, play, run, and laugh. The majority of our time will be spent enjoying the natural world, taking daily nature walks through the forest and meadow, and playing in the yard and gardens. Throughout our summer days we may plant seeds, harvest from the garden, cook or make herb tea over the fire, explore the woods, make forts, look for frogs in the meadow, make nature art, do yoga, sing songs, enjoy puppet shows, play in the mud and come home tired and happy!

For the summer of 2019 we are pleased to be offering camp three days a week (Tuesday – Thursday), from July 9 – August 1. You can choose between half days or full days each day. Morning drop-off is between 8:30 and 9:00. Half day pick up is between 12:15 and 12:30 and full day pick up is between 3:00 and 3:30. Flexible enrollment options, you can enroll for one - three days each week. Camp is for children ages 3-7, the very last day is reserved for older children age 5-9. Let your child spend the summer as nature intended!

Preschool Opening

Little Birch Nature Preschool has a Friday morning opening for the upcoming school year. Our program is nature-based and Waldorf inspired. Together we walk, play, explore, sing, hear stories and see puppet shows. We move and nourish our bodies, get to know one another and ourselves and learn about the world at our own pace. Magic happens here. Imaginations flourish.

New School Year, New Location

Little Birch Nature Preschool has now moved 2 1/5 miles down the road and we are located in Johnson, Vermont.

We are LOVING our new home - the gardens, the maple woods, the meadow, the mountain views...it is a special place full of amazing children bringing magic to our new home everyday.

We enjoyed 7 weeks of summer camp here this summer and have now entered a new school year. We are currently full with a waiting list. Make sure to contact Laura if you would like to enroll your child in the future. We also have a good size list already forming for the 2016-17 school year and beyond. Thank you to this amazing community for all of your support!!

New School Year Beginning!!!

We are looking forward to starting a new school year this week!!!  The gardens are blooming and awaiting the children to return and help with the harvest and fill the land will laughter again.

If you are interested in our school please contact us to be put on the waiting list.  We will likely have a few openings next school year (15-16) as much of our class will be starting kindergarten next fall.  Spaces fill up fast!

In other news, our teacher Laura Karstensen became happily married this summer and is now Laura Branca.  :)

Little Birch Nature Preschool is full for the remainder of the 2013-14 school year.  Let me know if you'd like to be added to our waiting list for the 2014-15 school year (or beyond) and summer camp.  Our current families are in the process of re-enrolling.

Enrolling for Friday Mornings

Our preschool program is just about full. 

We are still enrolling for Friday mornings.

Spread the word!  Do you know someone who would like to send their child for just one day a week, 8/8:30 - 12:30?  This would be a great way to ease into a nurturing preschool program while helping your child connect to the natural world.  Our morning together will be filled with play, walks, puppet shows, songs, healthy food, joy, and wonder.  For ages 3-6.
