Help Little Birch Find a Permanent Home!!

Help LITTLE BIRCH find a permanent home!  We are looking for a home and property to settle down on and house our Nature-based Waldorf-inspired childcare program.  Hope to move in the late spring or early summer in time to run summer programming and then begin our school year program in September.  Please spread the word and help with our search!!  Here is our wish list:

I am planning on starting a small home-based childcare program next school year and am looking for the perfect property.   I am most interested in long-term rentals, but may also be interested in beginning to look at buying this spring/summer or next.  My hope is to have 5-6 children a day in my care ages 3-5.  My partner Phil and I have been renting together for almost 10 years and are very responsible and clean.  We are both educators in the area.

Looking for:

Rental agreement starting in late spring/early summer

2-3 bedrooms, small house/cabin

Ample closets, and/or storage space, and/or garage/outbuildings

Nice spacious land with good size yard for garden and play and bordering forest for walking and playing.  Forest can be part of property or just border us with permission to use.

If a rental, permission to put up tidy and temporary fencing as well as a few simple, natural looking play structures such as a sandbox.

We would love a woodstove if possible

We have a very sweet, mellow, well-behaved 5 year old chocolate lab so pets would need to be allowed.

Property preferably in Stowe

We will have our own renters insurance and also liability insurance for the business.

I would love to hear from you with any questions, comments, or properties that may be in line with what we are looking for.

Thank you very much for your assistance,

Laura Karstensen
